Whilst clearing her late parents house, Jane Tingle came across three handwritten recipe books written by her great-grandmothers - and discovered that one of them worked as a servant at the Old Vicarage in Huttons Ambo.

Jane has since discovered that her great-grandfather, Alfred Farmery, was also living in Low Hutton in 1901, lodging with the Robson family (Joseph, Grace, daughter Mary and grand-daughter Grace Johnson) and another lodger, William Griceworth.
