Huttons Ambo Churchyard Wildflower Meadow

The plan to create a wild flower meadow in the back churchyard is progressing. Thanks to Simon Jackson's two Jacobs Sheep spending the Autumn there the snowdrops and primroses have never been better. Meanwhile Lindsay and I have planted more flowers which are beginning to appear including a  few fritillaries which we hope the pheasants won't deadhead!

The key to success is to leave the grass until August/September and then rake it up.Anyone willing to help with this task would be very welcome, please get in touch with me by phone or email so I can contact you when needed.

Meanwhile do visit the churchyard. It is a beautiful and peaceful place,

Many thanks

Rosa

Eggciting Egg roll success - pictures

A big thanks to everyone who helped and supported the egg roll today.  The weather was great and there was a great turn out for the eggs crafts, egg and sausage rolls, crepes,  the egg hunt and the roll.

Thanks to:
  • Sarah, Sara, Sarah, Alison and Ruth for the refreshments
  • Vince for tech support
  • Jem and David for their tents/awnings
  • Lesley for leading the arts and crafts
  • The marvellous Hannah family for the egg hunt and a The Hewitts for managing the rolling activities.

We made in the region of £150 for village hall funds.

Thanks to everyone.
