About

Evening light, looking towards High Hutton

The Huttons Ambo Village website is maintained by your humble editor, Philip Stone. I try and feature news and events from the village and when things are quiet (which is most of the time) I add some articles and pictures.

If you have any news or pictures you'd like see featured or if you'd like to contribute an article, please get in touch by leaving a comment below.

The website is an entirely personal venture, it represents my own views and opinions and it receives no funding from the parish council, village hall committee or any other body.

All material on the website is copyright, either by myself or the author as credited, unauthorised reproduction is prohibited but if you want to use a photograph on your own site or would like a print please get in touch.

  1. War Memorial, WW1: " George Francis Bowes" should be "Thomas Francis Bowes" - indeed, the WEB shows a picture of the Huttons Ambo was memorial with "Thomas" recorded there!! He died in France and Flanders 18 October 1918.
Wilfred Everett was born in Wakefield but was living in Huttons Ambo, working as a Footman at the "big" house. He died on 21 October 1916 inj France and Flanders.
